John L. Vaught
The founder and managing partner, John Vaught is a 1994 graduate of Vanderbilt
University, where he earned degrees in history and political science.
He earned his Juris Doctor in 1997 from the Mercer University Walter F.
George School of Law and moved immediately to Savannah. He is a member
of the State Bar of Georgia and is active in a number of local, state
and national bar organizations.
John has served on the Advisory Panel for the American Bar Association,
the Amicus Curiae Committee of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association,
and currently serves as President of the Savannah Trial Lawyers Association.
John has obtained millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements in Georgia
and across the country on behalf of individuals, families and children
injured by medical malpractice, motor vehicle and tractor trailer collisions.
John has been consistently recognized as one of the very best litigators
in the State of Georgia. He was named a Rising Star by Atlanta Magazine
and Super Lawyers Magazine in 2009, 2010 and 2011, as one of the top 2.5%
of lawyers under the age of 40 in Georgia. He was voted to the "Best
40 under 40" trial lawyers in 2011 by the National Trial Lawyers.
He was recognized as one of the top 100 litigators in the State by the
National Trial Lawyers in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016. John also recently
received an AV Rating by Martindale-Hubbell. He is frequently invited
to lecture on various litigation topics including his real passion, which
is representing injured children.
